Dubai is set to welcome a new addition to its luxury hospitality scene with the announcement of Janu Dubai, a venture by the renowned Aman Resorts. Slated to open its doors in 2027, Janu is the more affordable lifestyle arm of Aman Resorts, often referred to as its ‘little sister’.
Janu: A Blend of Luxury and Soulful Living
The name ‘Janu’ translates to ‘soul’ in Sanskrit, reflecting the brand’s commitment to providing not just exceptional service and design akin to its parent brand, Aman Resorts, but also a unique energy and spirit. Unlike the tranquil sanctuary that Aman Resorts typically offers, Janu aims to foster a vibrant atmosphere that encourages guests to interact, explore, and connect.
Janu’s Global Expansion: From Tokyo to the Middle East
The first-ever Janu hotel is set to debut in Tokyo later this year, boasting 122 spacious guest rooms, six restaurants, and one of the city’s largest wellness facilities. The Dubai property is part of Janu’s expansion into the Middle East, with four Aman Resort hotel openings planned in the region. The first will be Aman Hegra in Saudi Arabia in 2025, followed by Janu Diriyah in 2026 and Janu AlUla in 2027.
While the exact location of Janu Dubai remains undisclosed, the anticipation is already building among luxury travel enthusiasts and locals alike. As we await the opening of Janu Dubai, the city’s staycation scene continues to thrive with the upcoming debut of the Middle East’s first Dorchester hotel and the arrival of another One&Only property, among others.
Janu Dubai represents a new chapter in luxury hospitality, promising an experience that combines soulful living with the high standards of service and design associated with Aman Resorts. As we look forward to 2027, the anticipation for this unique property continues to grow.
