Abu Dhabi is about to receive a boost with the introduction of the region’s first culinary studio institute. The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has joined forces with Erth Hospitality to launch the École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio, a project spearheaded by 20-Michelin star superchef Alain Ducasse.
Scheduled to open its doors in December, the studio is part of a Dhs360 million culinary accelerator program launched earlier in 2023.
It will be situated at the Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the culinary education landscape in the UAE.
The studio promises to offer an innovative approach to culinary education, featuring short, professional sessions taught in a modern setting equipped with user-friendly professional equipment.
The classes will be small in size, ensuring personalized attention for each student. The facility aims to nurture the talents of everyone from aspiring culinary enthusiasts to established professionals.
In addition to educational offerings, the studio will also house a gourmet café and serve as a venue for corporate events.
The curriculum at the Ecole Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio will cover a wide range of topics, including culinary arts and pastry programs that explore French and international cuisine through the lens of the esteemed Ducasse philosophy.
The studio will offer a variety of courses, such as “First Cooking Lesson – Learning to Cook Without Inhibition”, “Cooking for a Special Event”, “Healthy Cooking”, and “Famous Parisian Macarons Madness Class”.
These courses aim to provide state-of-the-art education to attendees, in partnership with Erth Hospitality, a company with a silver jubilee of passion and expertise in hospitality.
The meticulously designed 418-square metre space will be located at the Al Hosn site.
It will feature a spacious classroom area, a fully equipped workshop show kitchen, a bespoke chef’s table, and a large outdoor terrace with breathtaking views of the capital’s skyline.
This exciting development is set to elevate Abu Dhabi’s status as a gastronomical hub even further, and anticipation is high for the studio’s grand opening in December.
