Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal has been recognized as one of the world’s top 50 hotels, according to the inaugural World’s 50 Best Hotels awards ceremony held at the Guildhall in London. The ultra-luxurious hotel, known for its extravagant features and services, secured the 44th spot on the prestigious list.
Atlantis The Royal, which officially opened its doors on February 10, 2023, is a new iconic landmark in Dubai. It boasts a unique architecture that is hard to miss, located right in the heart of Palm Jumeirah with over two kilometers of beachfront. The resort is separated from its sister restaurant, Atlantis, The Palm, only by the Aquaventure waterpark.
The hotel offers an array of luxurious amenities, including 90 swimming pools and 17 restaurants, eight of which are managed by world-renowned celebrity chefs.
Five of these restaurants were recognized in the Michelin Guide ceremony earlier this year. Notably, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal was awarded a Michelin-star and the Sommelier Award, while Ariana’s Persian Kitchen received a new award for Opening of the Year.
Tomislav Lokvicic at La Mar by Gaston Acurio was also awarded the Sommelier Award for 2023. Milos and Jaleo are other restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide.
The hotel’s grand opening weekend in January was a star-studded event, with international celebrities walking the navy carpet. Guests were treated to culinary delights by celebrity chefs, a dazzling fireworks display, and a performance by global icon Beyoncé.
Atlantis The Royal, described by the 50 Best Hotels team as the “ultimate in over-the-top extravagance,” offers 795 rooms, suites, and penthouses. It also features the first-ever Nobu beach club and a fire and water fountain, adding to its allure.
This recognition places Atlantis The Royal in the global spotlight, further enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a destination for luxury tourism. For more information about the World’s 50 Best Hotels, visit theworlds50best.com.
