After a four-year hiatus, British Airways is set to resume its popular London-Abu Dhabi route, marking a development in international air travel.
The UK’s national carrier will begin servicing this high-traffic aerial route with its widely acclaimed 787-9 Dreamliner jets at the onset of summer 2024.
The reintroduction of this route is expected to significantly enhance connectivity between the capital cities of the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. The BA73 flight will depart from London Heathrow at 10:25 pm local time and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 8:30 am.
Conversely, the BA72 flight will leave Abu Dhabi at 10:10 am and reach London by 3:20 pm. However, these timings will be adjusted during the winter season, with BA73 landing in Abu Dhabi at 9:30 am and departing at 11:10 am.
This move comes as British Airways already operates thrice-weekly flights from Dubai to London. The addition of the Abu Dhabi route is expected to further boost the airline’s presence in the region and provide more options for travelers.
In another significant development, British Airways will join 28 other airlines in moving operations to Abu Dhabi International Airport’s new Midfield Terminal, which is set to commence operations on November 1. This state-of-the-art terminal is expected to further streamline the travel experience for passengers.
To celebrate the return of the London-Abu Dhabi route, British Airways is offering promotional fares with return tickets in the Dhs2,000 range for World Traveller seats. Travelers can avail of these promotional fares by booking their tickets by November 12.
This move by British Airways is seen as a strategic step in enhancing its global connectivity and providing more travel options for its customers. With the resumption of this route, travelers between the two capital cities can look forward to a more convenient and seamless travel experience.
