The Dubai Future Academy (DFAc) has announced the launch of ten specialized courses and training programs. This initiative is led by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and is set to commence in the upcoming four months.
The newly introduced courses are part of a strategic capacity-building drive aimed at mid to senior-level government employees. The initiative is expected to attract top local and global experts, speakers, and future shapers, thereby empowering over 500 participants with essential skills and tools for foresight and future shaping.
The courses will delve into several key themes such as Strategic Foresight – leading in an uncertain and fast-changing world, Methods to Develop Scenario Content, Transformative Futures, Design Thinking, Futures Literacy, generative artificial intelligence (AI), the Future of the Circular Economy and Sustainability, Innovation Foresight, the Future of Emerging Technologies, and Disruption Futures.
Abdulaziz Al Jaziri, Deputy CEO at DFF, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch of these diverse training courses. He emphasized that this aligns with DFAc’s commitment to disseminating future-oriented knowledge. The courses aim to introduce important global trends and opportunities while enhancing participants’ forecasting capacities and professional skills. These include strategic foresight, scenario planning, futures literacy, long-term thinking, and anticipatory systems.
Al Jaziri further highlighted that DFAc serves as a knowledge platform that invites top local and global experts to share their deep expertise and experience in forecasting and shaping the future. DFAc’s efforts are deeply rooted in its role in nurturing future skills across disciplines, which contributes to positioning Dubai as a global hub for fostering innovation, spreading knowledge, and shaping the future.
