The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) introduced a new bus route last December. This route known as the Hatta Express, connects Dubai to the mountainous region of Hatta.
The Hatta Express Bus offers an affordable travel option, costing only Dhs25 per person. The journey begins at the Dubai Mall bus station and ends at the Hatta bus station. The service operates daily from 7 am to 7 pm, with buses departing every two hours. The entire journey takes approximately one and a half hours, making it a quick and convenient mode of transport.
After spending a day or two exploring the myriad of adventures that Hatta has to offer, travelers can return to Dubai on the same bus. The last bus departs from the Hatta bus station at 7 pm. Payment for the journey can be made using a Nol Card or in cash directly to the driver.
Upon reaching Hatta, visitors can avail of the Hop On and Off bus service from the Hatta bus station. This service, which costs just Dhs2, transports visitors around the main attractions in Hatta.
Hatta is a popular escape from the city, offering a range of activities such as mountain biking, waterslides, a honey bee farm, and a swan lake. Future projects in Hatta include a beach, a heritage village, and an 11.5km cycling track.
The Hatta Express Bus is now available for all Dubai residents and tourists. For more information, visit visithatta.com.
