Dubai-based airline “Emirates” has announced an expansion of its flight operations to Saudi Arabia in response to increased demand. The airline is adding three more flights to Riyadh during the Saudi National Day weekend.
These additional flights are scheduled to depart from Dubai International Airport (DXB) on the 20th, 21st, and 24th of September. The Boeing 777 aircraft will be used for these operations, supplementing Emirates’ regular flight schedule.
This move comes as part of Emirates’ ongoing commitment to serving destinations in Saudi Arabia, a relationship that dates back to 1989. The airline currently offers 67 flights per week to cities including Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam.
In addition to expanding its flight operations, Emirates has also shown support for sports in the region. This past summer, the airline sponsored the King Salman Cup 2023, partnering with top-tier football clubs from the Arab world.
Furthermore, Emirates launched a new on-demand regional charter service earlier in July for short trips within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Operating from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), this service uses the Emirates’ Phenom 100 twin-engine aircraft.
This private jet can carry up to four passengers, offering a comfortable and private travel experience with refreshments provided during the flight. The aircraft can quickly reach various destinations within the Emirates network, such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE, subject to operational conditions.
The expansion of Emirates’ flight operations to Saudi Arabia underscores the airline’s commitment to meeting the needs of its customers and strengthening its presence in the region.
