Dubai’s Expo City is all set to bring back its magical Christmas market this December, promising a festive extravaganza to transform the city into a winter wonderland. The event is free for all and pet-friendly and will run from Friday, December 8, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
The organizers have yet to reveal all the surprises in store for visitors. Still, if it’s anything like last year’s Winter City at Expo, attendees can expect a host of delightful activities and attractions.
The Mobility District is anticipated to be transformed into a charming Christmas scene, complete with traditional chalet-styled markets, pine trees, an ice-themed climbing wall, zipline, fun fairground games, and a letter-to-Santa station.
A highlight of the event is the stunning tree at Al Wasl Dome, which will serve as a centerpiece for the festivities. A carol garden will also be set up, where visitors can sing, dance, and enjoy food and drinks while soaking in the holiday spirit.
For the little ones, there will be opportunities to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, take pictures with giant gingerbread men, experience the snow globe at Al Wasl Plaza, and sing along to their favorite Christmas tunes performed by a toy soldier band. An ice rink will also be available for those who wish to glide around in the winter setting.
In addition to the festive activities, traditional Christmas markets will offer a variety of handmade gifts. Visitors can pick up customized teddy bears from the Build-a-Bear Workshop, create family trees at the tie-dye station, or participate in gingerbread decorating.
The Madinat Festive Market at Madinat Jumeirah will also return this year, from Friday, December 15, 2023, to Thursday, January 7, 2024. The market will transform Fort Island into another magical winter wonderland, open from 3pm to late Monday to Thursday and 12pm to late Friday to Sunday.
With its array of festive attractions and activities, Expo City Dubai’s Christmas market promises to be a magical experience for all ages.
